As St Patrick’s day approaches, I am always filled with memories of my family home being filled with shamrocks as a child, cut out of course, painting the basement floor green for the celebration, and loud music.
Listening to my father quote the odd limerick and speak periodically to me in Gaelic.
I am a first-generation child to Canada; my entire family comes from Ireland. It was a special
day for me and is a sort of sad time which is hard to explain.
I will celebrate with my Irish sisters at Heartwood Concert Hall listening to our local One Night Band, tap our feet, maybe a dance, and of course a beer, oops maybe a whiskey.

Some tax filing tidbits
- It’s easier than ever to manage your tax affairs onlineThe Canada Revenue Agency has simplified the process for registering for an account, which allows you to manage your personal tax information online. Instead of waiting for a security code in the mail, you can verify your identity immediately with the document verification service. Also, when you’re registered and have full access to the portal, you can use the new online chat service in your account to discuss account-specific questions and issues with a live agent without having to call.
