Come Back Downtown

Although it might feel much longer, just a few months ago downtown Owen Sound became a bit of a wasteland when we were caught off guard by Covid-19.  Stores were either forced to close or change the way they do business radically.  Many of our restaurants shifted entirely to take-out.  And from what I have heard, they were supported generously during what must have been a very scary time.

Then the re-imagining began.  New patios were created where parking lots and parking spots only existed before.  Some businesses re-shaped their inside seating to help with the brisk take-out business.  And when we were once again allowed to sit inside, some decided to stick with take-out, some decided to only offer patio service and others, once again, re-imagined their restaurants to ensure customer safety.

Below is a list of some of our downtown Owen Sound restaurants that have worked hard to continue to serve us during a very difficult time.  Please note that many have new hours to go along with their new ways of serving.  I hope you will consider supporting all of them.

The Bleeding Carrot

Jim and his team at The Bleeding Carrot Vegan Restaurant & Juice Bar serve up deliciously healthy and compassionate food for vegetarians, vegans and omnivores alike.
