For my last post of 2019, I thought I would showcase some of my favourite local images from the past year and share my thoughts about the future of the area. As those of you who have moved here (thanks to Wanda) have discovered, we continue to live in a hidden gem of an area. For as long as I have lived in the Owen Sound area, I have been waiting for our turn to be discovered. And as we enter our 20’s, I feel like big things are coming our way.
Wow! The last time I wrote I was anxiously awaiting Summerfolk weekend. Now, suddenly it is two months later. My apologies for neglecting my blogging duty. But that’s what happens when you live in an area with so much to do. As proof, here’s what we’ve been up to in our great area.
Apparently, some of the best sunsets in the world happen not too far from us in the beautiful city of Port Elgin/Southampton, Ontario (sorry, I have always thought of them as one city). And, although I have spent some beautiful evenings there, I think our entire area, in general, has some of the most gorgeous evening skies in the world.
One of my favourite things about this time of year is how it reminds us that, sometimes, the only option we have is to just push on through.
