|With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season upon us, we have found two wonderful sales to help you seek out that perfect gift for the kids, Secret Santa, family and that special someone.
The shopping spree begins at the annual Fine Craft Christmas Show & Sale on November 23, 24, & 25 at the new location: Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound. The show features artists, craftspeople and food vendors from around Ontario. If you are looking for interesting, high quality handmade art, fine crafts & food, the Bayshore is where you want to be this weekend!
Next stop on your spree in the Owen Sound area is the Annual Holiday Craft Sale at the Grey Roots Museum & Archives on December 1st from 10am – 3pm.
30 local vendors will be displaying their wares. Entry is by donation with proceeds going towards the construction of a General Store in Moreston Heritage Village.
Come and enjoy the spirit of the holidays with the family!
The Festival in the Park is a fun, family event taking place at Harrison Park on Saturday, December 8th from 11am – 4pm. Plenty of activities for the kids! Wagon rides to Santa's cottage, cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, face painting, crafts, petting zoo, pony rides, games, firetrucks, and food (hot dogs & chili) to finish off a day of fun!
After a day in the park, you can keep the spirit of the season going at The Christmas Concert at 7:30pm at East Ridge Community School. There will be a Christmas Carol Sing-along, so bring your joyful voices and sing with the live orchestra!
There is also a Family Christmas Concert that begins at 4:00pm at the same venue. A ‘special guest or two’ will be making appearances at both concerts.
The Georgian Bay Concert Choir will be presenting A Ceremony of Carols on Friday, December 14th at the Harmony Centre in Owen Sound. Tickets are $25.00/adult & $5.00/youth and are available at Birgit's Pastry Café in the back of the Owen Sound Artist's Co-op or from any GBCC member.
